So there I was...

Eating lunch with Mark Greenberg at the Broadway 5050, one of our usual haunts, when in walks this little girl with a freakin' parrot on her shoulder. Earlier in the day I had seen Chris Weeks' Birdman of WeHo shot, and I thought, "No freakin' way." Is this a new trend or something? Are birds the new Chihuahuas?!

So of course I had to make a photo of her. The bird's name is Elvis, btw...

Parrots, the next chihuahua! :lmao: it is so interesting what people have as pets sometimes.. rats, bats, parrots, monkeys (I have a friend who actually had someones (pet) monkey jump on his back in a 7-11, seriously. I freaking wish I had been their with my camera!!) I like how you take shots like these. You see something special or unique in a situation, you capture it, great work.

nice shot, though I wish it were in color to show off the bird's colors.

lol the new bird harnesses and the way owners bond with their birds these days enables owners to take their birds with them wherever they go. it's not so much a trend as a revolution; birds aren't being cooped up in their cages anymore, and the activity keeps them from getting bored and taking it out on their feathers or their owners.

if this posts twice it's because dA is being crappy.
